(Hasht-E Subh ) Sources in Nimruz province say that tensions between Taliban forces and Iranian border guards have escalated. Sources at the site of the conflict on Sunday afternoon (July 31st) said that the conflict took place in the Darwishok area of the Kong district of Nimroz province and is still raging on.
In the battle between the Taliban and the Iranian border guards, a member of the Taliban has been killed. The conflict started after the Iranian border guards advanced in Afghanistan and the Taliban tried to stop them.
But other sources quoting Iranian border guards say that after the Taliban planted their flag in the parts of Iranian territory, they faced a reaction from the Iranian border guards. Taliban and Iranian border guards have also previously fought each other in the border areas of Nimroz province.
