Herat Security Dialogue Kicks off in Dushanbe, Tajikistan

Hash-e-Subh The 10th Herat Security Dialogue (HSD) titled “Inclusive Political System” and “The Way Forward” has just been held in Dushanbe, the capital of Tajikistan.

The two-day meeting is being held on Tuesday in the conference hall of the National Library of Tajikistan with nearly 200 participants from different countries.

It said that on the first day of the dialogue, the participants will discuss the formation of an inclusive political system in Afghanistan.

In the opening speech of the conference, one of the Tajik officials said that hosting the HSD summit and holding it in the Central Library of Tajikistan is a sign of the peaceful policy of this country in relation to Afghanistan.

According to him, Tajikistan’s policy is to support the establishment of an inclusive government in Afghanistan because the formation of a comprehensive system can lead to the end of the half-century conflict in Afghanistan and the achievement of social justice.

The Tajik official has also added that the summit is not against any system, country, or policy, but rather it is a platform for a diverse dialogue regarding the issues of Afghanistan.

Rangin Dadfar Spanta, the chairman of the advisory board of Afghan Institute for Strategic Studies (AISS), is expected to deliver his speeches on Afghanistan after Tajik officials.

The meeting is being hosted in Tajikistan while Herat Security Dialogue was held annually in Afghanistan.
