The UN Special Rapporteur on Afghanistan Human Rights visits Panjshir

Hasht-E Subh Local sources report about the visit of Richard Bennett, the UN Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Afghanistan, to Panjshir.

Speaking to Hasht-e Subh, reliable sources said that Richard Bennett traveled to Panjshir on Wednesday, October 19 to investigate the human rights situation in this province.

Sources in the United Nations have also confirmed Richard Bennett’s trip to Panjshir. The United Nations Special Rapporteur on Human Rights for Afghanistan has traveled to Panjshir while this morning dozens of residents of the Peryan district of this province, including women, protested in response to the harassment of civilians by the Taliban. The Taliban, however, dispersed the protestors with aerial shots.
