Assassination of Former woman MP Highlights Deteriorating Security Situation in Afghanistan

Hasht-E Subh Mursal Nabizada, a former member of the Afghan Parliament, and one of her bodyguards were assassinated by unknown assailants on Saturday night in her home in the Ahmad Shah Baba Mina neighborhood of east Kabul  igniting worldwide reactions.

Leader of the Islamic Unity Party of the people of Afghanistan, Haji Mohammad Mohaqiq, called Nabizada’s murder a crime in a thread on Twitter on Monday.

The Taliban and the government that surrendered Afghanistan to a group that does not care about peoples’ lives are responsible for crimes being committed in Afghanistan, Mohammad Mohaqiq tweeted.

Head of Afghanistan Permanent Mission to the United Nations, Naseer Ahmad Faiq, also expressed grievances over the death of the former female MP, saying in a thread on Twitter that no one is safe and accountable in our country.
